Sell or Donate Cards

Sell or donate postcards.

We acquire postcard collections of all sizes for our monthly club auctions — by purchase or by donation. Please read about our process before contacting us.

We appraise, acquire, and purchase postcards.

Throughout the year, the club acquires postcard collections — small and large — to be sold in lots at our monthly auctions. Some are purchased outright; some are donated to support the club.

If you have a collection you'd like to dispose of — or if you know someone who does — we'd like to hear from you.

How the process works.

The club has a three-person appraisal committee, all experienced postcard collectors. Each committee member independently appraises the collection being considered. The three appraisals together determine the price we offer for the collection.

What to expect — please read.

Postcard appraisals are time-consuming, so we only appraise collections we are considering for acquisition or purchase. We do not provide appraisals to establish value for the owner, for insurance purposes, or for any other reason. If you need an insurance appraisal, please consult a paid appraiser.

Our goals when acquiring a collection are to:

  1. Serve as an outlet for people who want to dispose of their collection.
  2. Give everyone an opportunity to acquire reasonably priced postcards at our monthly auctions.
  3. Help cover the escalating operating costs of the club.

Ultimately, we want to find a good home for all postcards by placing them in the hands of collectors who truly appreciate their history and significance.
